There Is A Specific Chapter In Wasail Al-Shia Concerning Your Issue Titled:

“The Chapter On The Permissibility Of Performing Voluntary (Naafilah) Prayers While Sitting, Walking, Or On A Mount (Ride) Due To An Excuse Or Without An Excuse, And The Recommendation To Prefer Standing Over Sitting.”

In This Chapter, I Quote Two Hadiths For Your Understanding:

Muhammad Ibn Ali Ibn Hussain, Citing From Sahl Ibn Al Yasa’, Who Asked Abu Al-Hasan Al Awwal (Imaam Musa Al Kaazim عليه السلام) About A Person Who Prays The Voluntary (Naafilah) Prayer While Seated Without Any Ailment, Whether In Travel Or In Residence.

The Imaam (AS) Said: “There Is No Harm In It.”

Fazl Ibn Shaazaan Narrates From Imaam Ali Al Riza عليه السلام In A Hadith In Which The Imaam عليه السلام Said: “Certainly, Prayer While Standing Is Preferable (Afzal) To Prayer While Sitting.”

And As For The Method You Are Using, Where You Pray While Sitting But Stand For The Ruku, There Is Nothing Wrong With It.
