There’s someone on Instagram claiming that in Imam Khomeini’s book, Kitab al-Tahara, he supposedly curses Hazrat Aisha, Hazrat Usman, Abu Bakr, and Omar. Can someone verify if this book even exists and what it actually says? Cuz It is impossible that Imam Khomeini would do such a thing. I am not questioning imam but I want to know the actual things written in the book.

why should we not curse them that’s the question? when our imams (a.s) did …. We do should not care who curses them or not, if our Aimma did we should to and i can gladly provide hadith and the ayahs of Quran on cursing these above-mentioned individuals, haven’t you read ziyarat e ashura?

We heard Aba-Abdillah (Imam al-Sadiq- may peace be upon him) while he was cursing four men and four women after each obligatory prayer: Such-a-man, and such-a-man, and such-a-man, and Mu’awiya – and he named them – and such-a-woman, and such-a-woman, and Hind, and Umm-ul-Hakam, the sister of Mu’awiya.
     Al-Kafi, by Al-Kulayni, volume 3, page 342, and Tahdheeb-ul-Ahkam, by Al-Tousi, volume 2, page 321

In the narration of Al-Tusi, we find the following words used: “The Taymi, the Adawi, and such-a-man, and Mu’awiya – and he named them – and such-a-woman, and such-a-woman, and Hind, and Umm-ul-Hakam, the sister of Mu’awiya.”

Notice that the narration says that the Imam (may peace be upon him) used to name these individuals when he cursed them. These people were:

    • Abu Bakr
    • Omar
    • Uthman
    • Mu’awiya
    • Aisha
    • Hafsa
    • Hind
    • Umm-ul-HakamHowever, since the narrators weren’t capable of clearly stating their names due to the difficult circumstances of their era, they would use words such as: “Such-a-man and such-a-man” or “The Taymi and the Adawi” or: “Such-a-woman and such-a-woman”. However, they still didn’t want us to suppose that the Imam (may peace be upon him) didn’t clearly state their names when cursing them, which is why they stressed on saying the following: “…and he named them…”. This implicates that Imam al-Sadiq (may peace be upon him) used to say after each obligatory prayer:

O Allah, curse Aba Bakr, and Omar, and Uthman, and Mu’awiya, and Aisha, and Hafsa, and Hind, and Umm-ul-Hakam.

It is a shame for any person who has neither read nor is educated; to just randomly and purposelessly claim that there is not a single narration of our Imams (may peace be upon them) in which they curse their enemies by their names. What is more shameful is that even some turbans, who wear religious clothing but aren’t deserving of doing so, claim this.

  2. I am totally aware of the fact that cursing the enemies of ahl e bayt as is obligatory so there was no need for evidences. But I guess you misread what I wrote. I was not asking about whether we should curse them or not, my question was about cursing them publicly which is not right cuz it will have harmful effects on unity of muslim ummah. As you mentioned ziyarat e ashura, you must know that names of the first three people are not written there.Tho we know who those three people are but we can’t curse them publicly.

    • lastly, Imam khomeni is not some random person so we can’t say we don’t care what he said or wrote. We should know about his sayings and writing cuz following him means following imam zamana ajtf (as per the sayings of A’ima as).

(Kindly refrain from responding if identify as an akhbari shia cuz thier ideology is not welcome).
