If shi’as were responsible for the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (a.s), then and where were the sunnis that the Imam (a.s) only had 72 companions who sacrificed their lives for him(a.s)? Where were the sunnis when he(a.s) was left alone and called for help “hal min nasirin yansurna”? Where were they then?
Assalam o alaikum, first of all anyone who says Shias killed imam Hussain hasn’t got enough knowledge of history or hadiths, because anyone who knows about Islamic history, knows that imam Hussain was killed by the Companions and the sons of the Companions.
Let it be shirm ibne zil jaushan, umar ibne saad, sanan ibne anas, or the people who ordered this like yazid ibne muawiya or ubaidullah ibne zyad…..they’re all the sons of the companions. And to prove this point we’ve got many Ahle Sunnah books like SIYAR ALAM AL NUBALA by Dhahabi [who’s a very important scholar of the salafis] and many more…..
Secondly, even if for the sake of them we accept that Shias killed Imam Hussain…what we’re doing since the matrydom Imam is to mourn for him… then whats stopping you to do the same? don’t you love Imam hussain?
And last but not the least, even if shias killed Imam Hussain, where were the Sahaba ? were there only around 50-60 sahaba alive?
