Attention span!

As our habits of scrolling over social media reduce the attention span and we lack focus  which some how effective over brain overall specifically in studying, like I can’t sit for long, try but subconsciously got distracted of some or the other thing or the thought even tried the pomadora method 5 mint break ture to 5 h break. How can I improve my attention snap now?

This problem is faced by every youth these days, and the most effective solution we have for it is dopamine detox and mind controlling exercises, once you’ll have control on your mind you can easily focus on your studies, the same issue was faced by me two years ago and the solution I found was to be realistic, see one couldn’t sit for multiple hours if he has screen time of 4-5hrs+ alone on social media platforms, so you have to gradually increase your sitting hours, start with 1,2 or 3 hours a day but be consistent then you’ll eventually see results and your sitting hours will increase exponentially within 2-3 months. Tbvh social media is of no use these days and even if you want to use it for knowledge purpose books would be anytime more preferable than monitoring educational content on social media. It’s quite obvious you can study in a classroom which exhibits a club like atmosphere so no matter how good the study material is there will come a point when you’ll get distracted and start getting engaged in unnecessary activities.

  2. Breaks are important in order to maintain the slope while studying. But using highly distractive things like social media during breaks can actually make a 5 minute break turn to a 5 hour one. So during the time we’re arround the books i.e. studying, i prefer not to use the phone at all.. even in the breaks too.. There are nany other options we can do during the break time, like we can move outside for a while (keeping the check on the clock, making it Clear to one self that 12:30 means 12:30 only. Not a minute less, not a minute more) and observe the nature!! It gives alot of positivity and freshness. And keeping oneself enthusiastic during studying makes the subconscious distractions the least. This enthusiasm can be induced in oneself by keeping yourself hydrated, whenever you feel like i’ve started to become lazy, wash your face, drink water, and remain focused. These things would help you to stay enthusiastic and most of the times may cause the subconscious distractions fade!!
