“Hasad” or “jealousy” is something that is kind of natural, anyone can develop a feeling of jealousy from the other person, for indeed, various reasons!! To stop yourself from this feeling of jealousy try to praise that person behind his back and even infront of him, and always say “allahumma barik” or “mashallah”. Jealousy usually developes when you look at something a person has, while you don’t!! At that moment, when you feel that sense of jealousy!! Look at the various things you have!! The smallest of the small things! And try to thank allah for every thing.. and believe me, when you’ll move a sight upon every cell you have, every tissue, every organ..No! You’ll be confused, but would feel that you can never actually be thankful towards every single thing you have. And that moment the sense of envy would totally dissappear!!
Another thing, one can do is, when you look upon the things other person has, while you dont, try to look at the people who dont either have the things, you do!! That way the sense of envy can be eradicated partially!! Rest, trying your best to be happy in the happiness of others maybe the best thing one could do!!

After witnessing the circumstances experienced by the people of gaza, Palestine. We as individuals from a separate homeland cannot effectively protest agains the government, but all we can do is, boycott their products, which indeed has more or less, impact upon their economy, national pride, carrying out of operational capabilities by the army, due to lack of equipments, logistics, training and funds. Politically the morale of the leaders as well as masses of the nation goes down as they feel as a sense of isolation from the rest of the countries. (I.e. due to the bycott). And how can our own conscience allow us to utilize the products of the nation, whose hands are stained with the blood of innocent children and people of gaza? (genocide). Infact fatwa has been issued by various religious scholars against the use of Israeli products! All in all, boycotting Israeli products is going to give a severe blow to their economy!! And once the economy is shattered, the foundations of the so called “leaders” are automatically shaken by their own masses!

Getting control over the nafs is basically, making your nafs listen to you. Making it be obedient to you. And this can be done when you do not work upon your desires. It means, our nafs always wants comfort and pleasure, and thus makes us do the things which give the worldly or temporary pleasure, so to keep yourself out of that comfort zone and do exactly opposite to what your nafs wants, helps alot in gaining control over nafs… Like if you offer the isha prayer and you have a sudden thought of not offering the extra 2 rakats as they’re not mandatory! You must seize your mind out of that thought and breaking all the shackles of pleasing fantasies that your nafs has created, say, that now i’ll offer four rakkat prayers!! two rakat nafl and two rakkat of namaz e shukur as well.. this way your nafs can be under your control mostly!!

So during the time we’re arround the books i.e. studying, i prefer not to use the phone at all.. even in the breaks too.. There are nany other options we can do during the break time, like we can move outside for a while (keeping the check on the clock, making it Clear to one self that 12:30 means 12:30 only. Not a minute less, not a minute more) and observe the nature!! It gives alot of positivity and freshness. And keeping oneself enthusiastic during studying makes the subconscious distractions the least. This enthusiasm can be induced in oneself by keeping yourself hydrated, whenever you feel like i’ve started to become lazy, wash your face, drink water, and remain focused. These things would help you to stay enthusiastic and most of the times may cause the subconscious distractions fade!!
